After the gym, we need our protein! Burgers are not always unhealthy if they are done in the right way like in this recipe. Plus they are paired with one of the most beneficial fitness fruit– pineapple. Pineapples are very rich in digestive enzymes like bromelain that helps with protein synthesis and protein breakdown. Here is a simple grill pineapple burger that is perfect for the post-workout meal.
500 gr minced turkey meat
1 chopped onion
1 glove garlic
1/4 soy sauce
1 tbs olive oil
6 fresh pineapple circles
6 burger bread(your choice of flour-quinoa, whole wheat or rye)
lettuce for decoration
In a medium frying pan add the onion and garlic with one tbs of extra virgin olive oil. Then, fry it for one minute and set it aside. After, mix the fried onion and garlic with the minced turkey meat, spices, and soy sauce and make 6 burger patties. Set a frying pan with a little bit of olive oil and fry the patties equally on the both sides. On a grill or a grilling pan add the fresh pineapple circles and grill on the both side for 1-2 minutes.
Take a burger bread, add a fried patty, lettuce, and grilled pineapple. Enjoy!
